Hormones are released in to the bloodstream and journey to other areas for the human body where they result in certain responses from specific cells. Steroid hormones derive from cholesterol levels and are also lipid-soluble particles. Types of steroid hormones range from the intercourse hormones (androgens, estrogens, and progesterone) created by male and gonads being female hormones associated with the adrenal glands (aldosterone, cortisol, and androgens).
